Huntersville, NC Landscaping & Lawn Care

Most of Huntersville went up between the mid-nineties and the mid-2000s, which means a great many front gardens here are now twenty-five years into a plan that was drawn for a new-build. Foundation shrubs planted a foot from the brick have become hedges against the windows. Railroad-tie walls that were never meant to last this long are leaning. Beds have crept, mulch has built up over the crowns of plants, and the whole thing reads as tired without any single part of it being obviously broken.

That is the work we do most of in this town: not maintenance, but renovation. Taking out what has outgrown the space, rebuilding the walls in block or stone, and replanting at a scale that suits the house as it is now rather than as it was on handover day. It photographs as a dramatic change and it is usually less expensive than people expect, because the bones of the property are sound.

Huntersville is also the most HOA-dense of the lake towns. Our quotes are written with review boards in mind: the dimensions, photos and material specs most of them ask for are already in the paperwork, and we build within covenants on materials, heights and setbacks. We would rather check before we build than move a wall afterwards.

Plantings that outgrew the house

Many yards here were planted when the houses were built, and those shrubs now crowd the windows. That calls for replanting, not another trim.

Aging timber walls

Railroad-tie walls from the original builds are reaching the end of their life. We replace them in block or stone, with drainage behind the wall.

HOA approvals

Most neighbourhoods here need plans approved before work starts. Your written quote includes the dimensions, photos and specs review boards ask for.
